Electrocardiogram (ECG)

An ECG provides information about the condition and functioning of your heart. During the examination, the electric currents of the heart itself are measured. It gives your doctor information about your heart rhythm and the oxygenation of the heart muscle.

For the assessment of the ECG, it is important to know if you have any complaints and what medications you are using. The doctor’s assistant who makes the ECG, will ask you. If you are taking medications, bring them!
